This home was built for William Donahey an author, illustrator, and cartoonist. It was based on his cartoon "Teenie Weenies". It was originally built on a lake front lot and later moved to Grand Marais.
It is a 16-foot-tall, two story pickle barrel built in 1926 as a summer cottage for William Donahey, cartoonist and creator of the comic Teenie-Weenies.
