Lincoln High School
On this site stood the Lincoln High School which had earlier been named the Middlesboro Colored Public School. Construction began in 1908 and occupancy took place in 1910 with Mr. George W. Bell as principal. The building housed the elementary and secondary grades.
The school was discontinued in 1965 at which time Miss Esther R. Ball was principal and Mr. Arlee McKinney was coach.
This plaque is dedicated to all former Lincoln students and teachers.
