In a courtyard between Mary Lyon Hall and Abbey Chapel on the campus of Mount Holyoke College is a small horizontal sundial. The dial is about 16" on a side and has a plain gnomon that rises about 6 inches. The dial is placed on a stone pillar rising above a two-step octagonal base.
The dial contains a compass rose, Roman numerals and the inscription:

The base contains the inscription:
