The Prince of Wales Tower is an old tower built for miltary purposes, to overlook the Point Pleasant batteries. This tower is located in beautiful Point Pleasant Park located in the South end of the Halifax peninsula.

This tower was built between 1796 and 1799 on the orders of Edward Duke of Kent. It was built to guard Halifax from seaborne attack from the Northwest Arm. The tower has since has since had other changes and history associated with it.
