Ce mémorial, appelé "le Pupitre des étoiles", est l’œuvre du sculpteur Christian Lapie. Il a été réalisé en fonte de fer par la fonderie Roche, située à Fismes dans la Marne.
Douze statues, de tailles différentes (1,65 m à 4,20 m), symbolisent les douze fils de Jacob, ancêtres des douze tribus d’Israël.
Sept d’entre elles sont regroupées, à l’image d’une famille, au centre de quatre pupitres sur lesquels ont été gravés les noms des 972 victimes de la Shoa originaires des Hauts-de-Seine.
Les cinq autres figurent, de taille humaine, accueillent le visiteur et le préparent au recueillement.
Les pupitres frustres et rugueux rappellent l’emprisonnement des juifs dans les camps.

This memorial, called "le Pupitre des étoiles", is the work of the sculptor Christian Lapie. It was realized in iron cast iron by the foundry "Roche", situated to Fismes in the Marne.
Twelve statues, of different sizes (1,65 m in 4,20 m), symbolize twelve sons of Jacob, ancestors of twelve tribes of Israel.
Seven of them are grouped together, just like a family, in the center of four writing desks on which were engraved the names of 972 victims of the Shoa native of Hauts-de-Seine.
Five others represent, of human size, welcome the visitor and prepare him for the meditation.
