"The bas-reliefs on the pedestal depict Juneau trading with the Indians and his inauguration in the common council chambers. Also shown is Juneau on the banks of the Milwaukee river at an Indian encampment being offered furs. Bas-relief on south side of pedestal shows inauguration of Juneau as mayor.
Dimensions: Sculpture: approx. H. 13 ft. x 5 1/2 ft.; Base: approx. 31 x 12 x 12 ft.
Inscription: (Inscribed on west side of pedestal:) SOLOMON JUNEAU (Inscribed on east side:) Gift/of/Charles T. Bradley/and/William H. Metcalf /to the/City of Milwaukee/1887.
