Thief River Falls is Home of the Prowlers.

The water tower is also a benchmark - TD0944
1977/01/01 by MNDT (FIRST OBSERVED) DESCRIBED BY MN DEPT OF TRANSP 1977 (DKH) THE STATION IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF THE TOWN OF THIEF RIVER FALLS, AT THE CORNER OF 1ST STREET WEST AND BARZEN AVENUE. THE TANK IS SPHEROID SHAPED AND IT IS SUPPORTED BY A SINGLE CENTER STANDPIPE. IT IS 128 FEET HIGH AND PAINTED BLUE. THE POINT OBSERVED IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE TANK. THE TANK WAS OBSERVED FROM STATIONS HELLAND MNDT, ARCTIC MNDT, NORDEN, CAT MNDT, AND MAGGIE MNDT.
