The Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme (Holy Cross in Jerusalem) is a very interesting basilica just a short walk from San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome. It is one of the Seven Pilgrim Churches in the Eternal City.
The Bell Tower at the Basilica was built in 1144 under pope Lucius II.
But the clock mounted on Bell Tower comes probably from 17th century (1734), when the façade of the basilica had just been rebuilt by Domenico Gregorini and Pietro Passalacqua.
