Die Stellung Goldsee und das Lembruchlager Die Kannonenstellung Goldsee wurde 1912 als vorgeschobener Posten des Werks Gomagoi errichtet. Die Anlage befindet sich rechts vom 2700mt hohen Stilfser Joch. Das Stilfser Joch ist im Sommer mit dem Auto zu erreichen. ( Achtung es sind 48 Spitzkehren zu bewältigen) Ab der Passhöhe geht´s zu Fuß rechts hoch zur Dreisprachenhütte danach leicht abwärts zum Goldsee. (Gut ausgeschildert) Im Frühjahr 1915 verteidigte hier der Gendarmeriemeister Andreas Steiner die Passhöhe und Eroberte den 3000mt hohen Scorluzzo. In die Stellung Goldsee wurden die Kanonen vom Werk Gomagoi und Nauders in Stellung gebracht, die dann gegen die von Italien besetzte Trafoier Eiswand eingesetzt wurden. Versorgt wurde die Stellung über eine Seilbahn die vom Hotel Franzenhöhe heraufführte und später bis zum nahen Lehmbruchlager erweitert wurde. Die Strasse konnte kaum bis zur Passhöhe benutzt werden da die Italiener auf der nahen Trafoier Eiswand Gebirgsgeschütze installiert hatten. Das Lembruchlager befindet sich zwischen der Dreisprachenhütte und dem Goldsee, man kann noch jede Mengen von Hütten- und Mauerresten finden. Das Lager war für die Italienische Artillerie nicht zu erreichen da die Geschosse neutrales Schweizer Gebiet überfliegen hätten müssen. So entstand hier eins der größten Lager im Ortlergebiet mit Lazzarett, Kino und Badeanstalt! Versorgt wurde das Lager über die Seilbahn vom Goldsee. Im ganzen bestanden drei Seilbahnen: Von Trafoi zum Hotel Franzenhöhe, von hier zum Goldsee und dann zum Lembruchlager.
