Reka Labe pramení na hrebeni Krkonoš. Najdeme ho v nadmorské výšce 1 387 m.n.m. na Labské louce. Patrí k nejvyhledávanejším cílum vycházek na ceské strane pohorí. Vlastní rozvodí probíhá západne, ve vzdálenosti zhruba 150 až 300 m a také se nachází skutecné pramenište Labe, ale z duvodu ochrany prírody je verejnosti neprístupné.

About 1 091 kilometersm (678 miles) long journey of the river Elbe to the North Sea (throug Czech Republic and Germany) starts in Giant Mountain (krkonoše). Of the numerous small streams whose waters compose the infant river, the most important is the Bílé Labe, or White Elbe. Just its spring is located at an elevation 1386 meters near north west borders of Czech Republic with Poland. The water source, the concrete well ring is, in fact, just a symbol. The real river source is located a little higher. The wall built near the source displays 26 colour coats of arms of the cities and towns situated on the Elbe River. The source of the Elbe was consecrated in 1648 but the place was arranged in the present state in 1968.
