Originally, this building was the convent on the St. Benedict's grounds. Previously to its current use as a restaurant, it had been used as a theater. However, in 2009 The Liberty Bar began renovation of this former convent and moved from its weird perpetually leaning building off Josephine Street to this location at 1111 S. Alamo Street, San Antonio, TX. This new location offers more room for the restaurant and allows them to expand the catering and party planning services they offer. The basement of this former convent is used as the wine cellar. The first floor offers a restaurant called the St. Scholastica Restaurant which offers a new venue of food selection. The top/second floor is the location of the Liberty Bar. It will be serving the same style menue as previously. Each floor has a kitchen area.
