Sculpture of a lion dedicated as a memorial to a Springfield policeman is located in front of the Commercial Club building which now serves as a police station in the north side of Springfield, Missouri.

The sculpture is of a Phoenician style lion reclining on all four legs with its tail wrapped around its body and is titled "Sleeping Lion".

The sculpture is dedicated to Officer Bob Reynolds of the Springfield Police Department who died after twelve years of service.

A plaque at the sculpture is inscribed:

In honor of
Officer Bob Reynolds
12 years our guardian.
An example of a life
lived for others.
