The first Sears Grand store (and still the largest at 225,000 sq ft) opened at Jordan Landing in West Jordan, Utah in 2003.
This new store marks a change in marketing concept for Sears. We were really surprised when West Jordan, our home town, was chosen as the site of the first store. Sears Grand stores carry everything that a regular Sears carries, plus health and beauty, toys, baby care, cleaning supplies, home decor, pet food, cards and party supplies, books, magazines, electronics, music, movies, and an edited assortment of groceries.
There have been several other Sears Grand stores constructed since that first one in 2003, but this one still retains the title of “Largest in the chain.”
