Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) lived in London from 23 April 1764 until 30 July 1765 during which time he wrote his first two symphonies.

Mozart lodged here with his father and sister in 1764–65. At the time the building was '15 Thrift Street' The original building was demolished and rebuilt in 1858.[1]

The plaque is opposite Ronnie Scott's famous jazz club. We noticed it while queuing outside Ronnie's.
