Kewpee Hamburgers is one of the earliest known fast food restaurants. It specializes in hamburgers, french fries, pies, and frozen malts. What separates the Kewpee from other fast food joints is their use of fresh, never frozen meat. Furthermore, the meat is grown locally. The Kewpee is a Lima institution and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The main Kewpee Hamburgers restaurant, of the three in Lima, is downtown. It is a white art deco style building with an oversized Kewpie doll above the front doorway.
