This vintage gas station is in excellent condition and reminds us of days gone by.

This is a one-story brick building constructed in 1933 and originally operated as Faler Magnolia Gas. Its architecture is considered "vernacular," as it does not follow a traditional style, as designed by a professional. It has a steeply pitched, cross-gable roof covered with composition shingles. The bricks are currently painted white, with a wainscoting of red. A wood and metal canopy projects from the entrance, forming the original gasoline pump service bay.
The gasoline pumps are long gone, but the concrete pad remains. The building now houses a dog grooming business known as Bunnell's, and a sign on the canopy calls it a "Doggie Drop Off Zone."
