On October second 1895 Mr. Hasson Donated 48 Acres to the city of Oil City to be used a park for the whole comunity.
The park houses several picnic shelters, playgrounds, a swimming pool, ball fields and a brand spanking new disk golf course. I think it is safe to say that the city is doing all right by the Hassons.
The stone arches were built to show the cities appreciation for Mr. Hasson's great donation and as a memorial to the generous man.
The arch on the left is over a sidewalk but the one on the right is just in the grass to frame the driveway into the park.
