The Almond is a Portuguese river that is born in Serra de Aire 5 km northwest of Torres Novas, on the slope of the Serra de Aire, near Almond, which he named. On its way 30 miles crosses the towns of Torres Novas and Golegã where flows into the right bank of the Tagus River.
In is Origin, A Dam helps to creat a power struture that once was used in the Renova Paper Factory.
Also a Cave, home of many prehistoric features that is at this time close to general public.
