The entrance to the cemetery is along Arch Street. Admission is $2. Go through the iron gates and proceed down the left path 4/5 of the way down, then look to the left and you will see the flat grave covering, next to another one looking similar but of different color. The tandem are very close to the path. The marker is small and balck and at the foot of the grave. The Burial Ground is open March-December (weather permitting). Hours are: Monday-Saturday 10-4, Sunday 12-4.

Benjamin Flower was a veteran of the Revolutionary War and acted as Commissioner of Military Stores of the Flying Camp and a Colonel in the Artillery Artifices Regiment. Flowers was responsible for repairing army military equipment.

The grave has a huge stone, cover on top of three levels of bricks. The slab is so worn over the last 200+ years, the inscription is no longer legible. There is a marker in front which has the original inscription. It reads:

Here Layeth the mortal part
of
Col. BENJAMIN FLOWER

Late of the American Army
Being generous, sociable, humble
His public walk in Life
He filled with Dignity,
His private
With a distinguished Grace.
Punctual and unwearied in Business
Sprightly and successful
Firm in his Attachments
Founded still on Principle
Delicate & Strict in Home
He was
The Loyal and the Loved
of the Land
Which gave him Birth.
During a tedious illness
Which he bore with equanimity
Superior
The Genius of Religion
Held over him
Her Banners
Endued him with energy Divine
And consolation ineffable
Pointing to the Glories
of a future world
While hope stood smiling
And looking on.
Upon the 28th day of April 1781
In the 33rd year of his age
He departed.
