Isaiah can be seen behind and on the north side of the Dinard Library. The 7' high bronze figure of the Old Testament prophet Isaiah stands on a 30" by 36" brick base. It is the creation of sculptor Chaim Gross and was sculpted between 1976 and 1977.

Isaiah has his hands above his head. He is holding four spears in his right hand and three swords in his left hand. Two birds are perched on the swords. At the bottom of the statue there are five Hebrew characters. A plaque, on the brick base, is inscribed:

ISAIAH

CHAIM GROSS

"He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore."
