Long Description:
This cenotaph, erected by the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 162, Lower Sackville, was erected June 15, 2000, welcoming Canada's newest territory Nunavut. The cenotaph consists of stones from 73 countries where Canadian service personal are buried. All of the provincial stones of the Canadian Confederation are arranged to form the arms of the cenotaph, symbolizing hands clasped in friendship. The light at the top of the cenotaph represents the eternal flame of remembrance.
