Alexis Rudier and his son Eugene Rudier directed the smelter Rudier from 1874 to 1952.

The foundry worked for the great sculptors of his time as Auguste Rodin , Antoine Bourdelle and Aristide Maillol bearing the signature: Alexis Rudier.
