The city of Nakhon Si Thammarat (Nakhon Si) is the capitol of the province of the same name, ~700kms south of Bangkok, on the eastern side of the long Malaysian peninsular. A little to the south of the city centre is the government precinct, a cluster of large, rectangular, white buildings, which house the hard working and dedicated public servants without whose hard work and dedication none of us would be able to manage our lives.

Immediately, to the north of this precinct is a line of restaurants and bars. The classiest of these is the 'Princess Cafe'. Inside all is cool, clean, wooden, and polished, with lots of tasty pastries, a wide selection of coffees, teas and chocolate drinks. There is wifi, magazines, and a convivial atmosphere, one conducive for relaxation after a hard day administering the province.

Unfortunately, the cafe has a no photograph policy. I can only assume that the senior civil servants wish to commune undisturbed.

I would recommend this cafe, if one is visiting this city and wishes to partake of a western cafe experience. Prices are a little pricey, e.g. $2 for a cappuccino.
