Many doesn't know, but there is an abandoned cemetery very near from the center of the city of Odivelas, right in the midle of a series of buildings.
Odivelas has grown immensely in recent decades; in 1900 had about 2000 inhabitants, in 1930 about 3000 inhabitants, and in 2008 the municipality had 153584 inhabitants.
With the growth of the city, the cemetery had no longer sufficient area, and after the construction of other cemeteries in the region the consequence was that this cemetery has been abandoned for more than 40 years, and nowadays no grave stones can be find there anymore.
