Originally built in 1888 as a traditional music hall, the building's original name was 'The Pavilion'. During its lifetime, the building has been used as a bingo hall as well as a nightclub.
The 3 sided, protected, Grade II Listed building is one of just two purpose-built music halls left standing in the whole of the UK.
Iris Gowers book, 'Act of Love' began Chapter One outside Swansea’s Palace Theatre.
The Theatre is currently disused, as can be witnessed by the trees growing out of the roof.
In July 2007 the theatre was put up for sale & is still up for sale.
