Long Description:
The Saint is enjoying a picnic when a young woman approaches him with a mouse, and wearing a blouse of the same design as Simon’s shirt. Later, another woman appears at Simon’s flat with a coffin containing an effigy of Simon, and also wearing a blouse of the same material as Simon’s shirt. By now intrigued, Simon follows the woman’s car, but looses her at an aerodrome. He notices a helicopter take off and follows in hot pursuit. Eventually Simon catches up with the two women, they are the daughters of Keith Longman, an eccentric millionaire. Longman is dying and wants to pay the Saint to try suspended animation, so that Longman can be suspended until a cure can be found for his illness. The mouse has already survived the freezing process, but Simon declines. Longman has a heart attack and goes for cryogenic suspension without the Saint’s intervention.
In the pursuit of the woman to the airport (Elstree) the Saint looses her car when a removal van blocks his path near a farm cottage. That farm cottage is Ham Farm Cottage on Hogg Lane, close to the airport.
