This Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is perhaps the most unique of the Flying Saucer locations that are serving fine beer in six states.

The point of the exercise is fine beer, and the Flying Saucer does it well, with a small but well-chosen number of beers on tap (with regular rotators on cask), and plenty in the bottle. The Lake also has a bar on the patio, and a small selection of wines if beer isn't your thing. The open patio faces Lake Ray Hubbard, but it does have seasonal hours. Outside is the only place where smoking is allowed.

Seating is a mixture of tables and booths. They do have a separate area for parties, as well as the ubiquitous dartboards, and plenty of TVs airing the current sporting events.

The food menu has been changed in recent days. Gone are the wraps and the limited choices in pizza and wings, as you can now select your own toppings on your pizza, pick from a variety of sauces for your wings -- I hear they use ghost peppers in the Atomic ones -- and there are plenty of pub grub sandwiches and salads. This Saucer also has a real kitchen, and they not only offer some "by the water" types of fare (like shrimp and catfish), but they also have chicken-fried chicken, chicken-fried steak, and a 12 oz New York strip steak (the latter of which is cheaper if you wave your UFO club card). When they redid the menu, they also added some new cheeses, all of which pair well with the correct beer. Beer and food menus are always online at their website.

They do offer free WiFi service, and all you need to do is ask for the password.

This one is a bit more family-friendly in that they have high chairs and so forth (no kids menu), but in recent days, they've made it clear with a sign on the door that you must be 21 after 9 PM, and they do enforce that.

You will see a large number of personalized plates along the wall and ceiling. This is your payoff for joining the UFO club, in which you pay for a shirt and a card that you run through their computer every time you visit any FS location. You can log up to three beers a day, and once you hit 200, they'll have a party for you and put your name on a plate on the wall/ceiling. Depending on how many times you go through the Ring of Honor, you may get a bigger party (in terms of $$$) or a prize like a shirt, a stein, or even a trip to GABF (at ten times through). You'll also get rewards at 50, 100, and 150 beers, something of a carrot to keep you moving along.

There are semi-regular beer tastings, where the representative from a given brewery comes in and pairs their beers with a variety of foods, and there are also festivals for beer tasting (visit a themed beer tent, get your card punched), Oktoberfest, and anything else on the minds of the folks at corporate.
