The Saint visits a friend, Juliette Grillot, in Paris. Juliette’s brother, Andre, is a business partner of Jean Bougrenet, an undercover agent for the OAS. Jean double crosses the OAS over a money laundering scheme and tries to cover his tracks by removing money from his business account with Andre. Andre is phoned by the bank and goes to Jean’s apartment to confront Jean. At Jean’s apartment Andre finds a bulging briefcase and takes it away, thinking it contains the missing money. Eventually the OAS catch up with Jean, who is unable to give the OAS its money as Andre has removed it. Major Quintana of the OAS kills Jean in his flat, but the police suspect Andre of the killing.

The Saint steps in to clear Andre. He discovers that the dead man was Algerian and that the briefcase contains forged US bearer bonds. Further, there is only one forger good enough to do the job, one Vladek Urivetsky, however he is supposed to have died in Algiers some time ago. In a botched attempt to get the briefcase back, Juliette manages to follow one of Quintana’s men back to the villa where Quintana and Urivetsky are staying. The Saint decides to confront Quintana, and breaks into the villa that night. The police follow shortly behind the Saint and arrest Quintana and Urivetsky.

The gates of Major Quintana’s villa are portrayed by the gates of Haberdashers Aske. Juliette is seen in one clip stopping outside the gates after following one of Quintana’s men. Later, in the second clip, the Saint is seen entering the gates after dark.
