Slávistická lukostrelba odvozuje svuj vznik od LO Dynamo Praha.Po zániku lukostrelnice na Maninách hledal klub nové útocište a vznikl ve Slavii nový oddíl, v jehož radách najdeme taková jména jako prof. Jirí Baštár (cestný clen mezinárodní organizace FITA a autor její znelky) .
