Manning Provincial Park is home to many things. It is the northern trailhead of the Pacific Crest Trail, which goes from Canada to Mexico. It is the northern limit of habitat for wild rhododendrons. For recreation, choose from a variety of hiking trails, downhill or cross country skiing, fishing, canoeing (rentals available)or enjoy some wildlife or bird watching.
Camping is available at 4 drive-in campgrounds, as well as several group sites and ten back-country campgrounds.

Background: Land was set aside in 1931 as "Three Brothers Preserve" to keep the alpine meadows from overgrazing by sheep. Became a provincial park in 1941 and over the years the boundaries have been extended many times.
