In the restricted area north of the entrance to the General Assembly Building entrance is this large and unusual allegorical equestrian statue of St. George slaying a dragon. The 60' tall work was created by Zurab Tsereteli. It can easily be viewed from the sidewalk in front of the north lawn.

Good is a traditional bronze statue of St. George upon a horse slaying a dragon with a spear held in his right hand. Evil is the dragon, lying on its back with his head facing St. George. The body of the dragon is composed, in part, of pieces of US Pershing and Soviet SS-20 nuclear missles.
