Uncle Sam Boat Tours offers a two nation (United States and Canadian waters) scenic tour of the 1000 Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. The narrated cruise takes you under the Thousand Island Bridge and passes many homes, each sited on a single island. Some are just tiny summer cottages while others are millionaire's mansions. The most opulent of all is Boldt Castle on Heart Island, NY, where, near the end of the trip, you can disembark and tour the buildings and the grounds. The cruise portion of this tour lasts 2.25 hours. If you disembark at Heart Island you can take the company shuttle boat back to Alexandria Bay.
