Eine Gartenbahn ist nichts anderes als eine im freien aufgebaute Modelleisenbahn.

Strecke

Nach dem Abfahrtssignal des Fahrdienstleiters geht es aus dem Bahnhof hinaus die Steigung hinauf zur ersten Brücke und durch den 12,60m langen Luise Tunnel, benannt nach der Tunnelpatin Luise Van-Staa. Aus dem Tunnel heraussen, rollt man weiter Richtung Remise 2 und zweigt dann in den Innenkreis ab. Dort durchquert man den Margit Tunnel. Er ist 12,25m lang und bekam seinen Namen von Margit Gapp. Dann geht es wieder das Gefälle hinunter an der Schiebebühne vorbei. Diesmal steht die Weiche gerade und der Zug fährt über die zweite Brücke wieder auf die andere Seite des Baches. Jetzt noch an dem Rundlokschuppen mit Drehscheibe vorbei und den letzten Anstieg zum Bahnhof hinauf. Doch der Zug hält nicht am Bahnsteig, sondern nimmt das Durchfahrtsgleis und fährt noch eine Runde.

Die Streckenlänge beträgt 350m, also legt man bei einer Fahrt ca 700m zurück. Das dauert ungefähr 6 Minuten.

Route

After the departure signal the dispatcher it comes out of the station, the slope up to the first bridge and through the 12.60 m long tunnel Louise, named after the tunnel godmother Louise Van States.
