This monument is located just next to the old canal at the bank of the Rhine. It is a marble plate hold by a steel construction.

On the plate there are the coat of arms of Huningue and the emblem of the 80th infantry regiment.

The text: "A la memoire des combattants volontaires de lla Brigade du Languedoc - 80ème R.I. - morts pour la libération de Huningue
30 novembre 1844 - 24 avril 1945
Passant, souviens-toi"
