This recreation area is the state’s first trail for off-highway vehicles, all terrain vehicles, off-road motorcycles and 4 x 4 trucks and Jeeps. It is used for both recreation and competitive events. The trail is 36 miles and includes an obstacle course, hill climbs, sand and mud drags, a motorcycle track and many different competitions & events. Trails vary from easy to difficult. The recreation area is managed by the MN Dept. of Natural Resources which also offers ATV safety courses. The trails are free for Minnesota residents and non-residents must purchase an ATV pass. All vehicles must be safely equipped and properly registered.
