Every Autumn, for 10 days Cheltenham is transformed, with literature coming to town. Temporary stages are set up in the local parks and authors from all walks of life give talks about their books.

Aututhors over the past few years have included sportsmen such as Steve Redgrave, comics like Dawn French, TV presentors like Andrew Marr, actors like Robert Lyndsey, in addition to those where writing is their main career.

There are around a dozen venues, including the Town Hall and various marquees set up. The GPS co-ordinates are for the book tent, where copies of their books are for sale, and where most of the autors will sign copies of their books after the show.

Entry to the site is free. Some talks are free of charge but most cost £5-10. As they often sell out, it is worth visiting the box office first.
