The earliest mention of a Oliemeulen at this place in 1648: "Oliemeulen the Cleyn Hoeven."
In a manual of the Holy Spirit Table of Tilburg in 1773 we find mention of a piece of land "located on D's oil Moolen to d'Hoeve".
Around 1880 the rosoliemolen the farm replaced by a windmill, but in 1925 was destroyed by a fierce storm.
The millstones of the original mill have been preserved and stylishly incorporated in the various exits of the building.
The Zoo Reptile House opened in 1987 Oliemeulen its doors to the public. The name "Oliemeulen" obviously has to do with the magnificent building in 1979 as much as possible in the original style is restored.
Within five years expanded the file from animals with other animals such as raccoons, parrots, monkeys and birds of prey.
Partly of relief, but also by fellow animal from home and abroad. This was in 1992, officially the mammalian and bird park in the Oliemeulen opened.
