A world globe sculpture donated by the Rotary Club of Portland is located on the southeast corner of Franklin and Commerce Streets near the Franklin Pier in Portland. The globe stands about 10 feet high, has the proper tilted and uses an arrow to represent the axis of rotation. At the base the north, south, east, west directions are indicated. A plaque at the base between north and west contains the Rotary insignia on the right and is inscribed:

Rotary Club of Portland, Maine
in commemoration of the
Club's 85th anniversary.
