[Nl] De Sint-Gerolfkapel is een kapel opgericht ter ere van de heilige Gerulfus. Deze is gelegen in de Sint-Gerolfstraat te Drongen (Gent). Er wordt vermoed dat Gerulfus op de plaats waar nu de kapel staat werd vermoord, maar dat is niet zeker.
De kapel werd voor het eerst gebouwd in 1604. Later in 1750 kwam er een nieuwe kapel. Toen de kapel in 1948 was afgebroken, bleef enkel nog de oude gedenksteen in witte marmer bewaard. Ter gelegenheid van het 1200-jarig herdenken werd toen de huidige kapel opgericht. De kapel heeft ook een klein klokje hoog boven de deur hangen.
[En] The St Gerolphe Chapel is a chapel in honor of the saint Gerulfus. This is located in the rue Saint-Gerolphe Drongen (Ghent).
It is thought that Gerulfus was murdered at the place where the chapel is, but that is not certain.
The chapel was first built in 1604. Later in 1750 came a new chapel. When the chapel was demolished in 1948, only the old memorial in white marble was preserved. To mark the 1200 year anniversary the present chapel was build.
The chapel also has a small bell hanging high above the door.
