This pawn shop is painted white which serves as a great backdrop to give full attention to the First Peoples artwork that adorns the entire front of the building. There are geometric shapes, feathers, brightly colored natives, a stylized bear paw and a native playing music. The artist made excellent use of just a few colors: black, red, yellow.
There are numerous Indian Tribes in New Mexico including the Acoma Pueblo, Alamo Navajo, Apache, Cochiti, Gallina, Isleta Pueblo, Jicarilla Apache, Kewa Pueblo, Laguna, Mescalero, Nambe Pueblo, Ramah Navajo, Taos Pueblo, Tesuque, Tewa people, Teypana, Tompiro, Ute Mountain Ute, Ute people, Zia people, Zuni people (and others).
