This Grade II listed pub in the small village of Selborne was built in the C18th and mid-C19th. It has plain walls with a first floor band and plinth. The north-east front is symmetrical, of 2 storeys with an attic.

To the south side is the single-storeyed former stables which are built forward of the building, they have brick walls and a pantile roof. The rather worn cut-mark, the two fleches are nearly invisible, is on the south-east corner of this extension at 0.5m above ground. It was last verified in 1958 at 120.1461m above Newlyn Datum.
