The chimney is at the western end of No 4 Cowley Street in London. Constructed from brick it is a monster of a chimney. Counting the bricks, it is approximately 16 feet tall not including the pots; about 14 feet from front to back; about 9 feet wide. There are probably some older houses in the UK that are smaller than this. The eastern face of the chimney has an arch built into the brickwork that contains a metal grill - the purpose of which is unknown.
The house was built during 1904-05 by Horace Field for the North Eastern Railway.
