This mural depicts a steam-engine train being used to construct the Welland Canal. Posted outside of a Bell telephone building, the vivid colours and unique shapes used in the mural are reminiscent of stained glass. All of the Welland Murals are painted on permanent canvases, this one by Ron Baird. The Bell building is located on the corner of Cross St. and Division St.
