Very interesting building in a number of ways. Built around the mid 1830's it featured a stone front, something that most unusual for the buildings of Natchez. Additionally, the bankers house was incorporated into the bank building by attaching it directly to it. The bank can be seen from Main Street, but you must walk around the corner of Canal Street to view the bankers house, where the vault reportedly was located.
In later years the bank portion of the structure served as a First Church of Christ, Scientist, church while the house was a private dwelling. The bank is no longer used as a church, but the house continues to serve as a private residence.
