The original Conotten Valley Railroad depot at this location burned in 1914. It was replaced by this building in 1915 by the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad. It is now currently owned by the Ohio Central Railroad. The OC RR ran tourist steam trains from this station for 15 years, but ended operations on May 24, 2003. It became a casualty of increasing insurance costs plaguing the steam excursion industry.
