The Depot Town Clock was donated by the Upland Chamber of Commerce. The Depot Park Town Clock on Main Street, Upland, Indiana was brought to this site in 1994 by the original Our Town Upland Inc. Upon the celebration in 1993 of Taylor's 100th anniversary in Upland, the university worked with the community to purchase and relocate a train depot from Muncie to Upland to serve as a local museum. The depot together with a new town hall and library were major developments in the downtown renewal project of Our Town Upland, Inc. The town clock was also added at this time of major rennovation in downtown Upland, Indiana. The clock was custom built by the Verdin Company out of Cinicinnati, OH 45202.
The clock face and casing is 30 inches wide by 36 inches tall. The most unique part of this clock is the style of the numbers. Each number with a looped portion has that loop continued into a spiral. This creates a unique design and look to the numbers. The clock face casing is stamped with the town name, Upland, and the year the town was founded, 1867.
