CZ: O tomto habru obecném (Carpinus betulus) se tvrdí, že je to jeden z nejvetších, ne-li nejvetší habr na svete. At už je to pravda, ci ne, jedná se opravdu o úctyhodný strom. Habry jsou vetšinou nevysoké a štíhlé stromy, ale tento exemplár pri posledním merení obvodu kmene dosáhl hodnoty 493 cm. Jeho výška je sice jen asi 15,5 metru, což je ale negativne ovlivneno špatným zdravotním stavem, drívejší nejvyšší vetve už zrejme uschly a ulomily se. Presto je strom ješte stále životný. Nepatrí sám o sobe mezi památné stromy, ale pred pokácením ci jinými negativními zásahy jej chrání to, že poskytuje útocište nekterým místním vzácným a chráneným druhum hmyzu. Odhadovaný vek stromu je asi 150 let.
EN: Probably one of the most majestic european hornbeams (Carpinus betulus) not only in the Czech republic, but in the whole world. Its girth is now 493 cm. It is only about 15,5 m high, but the reason is that the top of the tree has already been damaged. Some of the branches have withered and broken. But the tree is still alive. Although it was not proclaimed a memorable tree, it is under protection of the state, because it serves as a refuge of several rare species of animals, especially insect. The tree is supposed to be about 150 years old.
