The plaque, that is set into the front edge of the bench, reads:
"In Memory of / Albert Nichols - Nick / 1923 - 1993".
The bench is at the top of a hill that offers great views over Gloucester. I guess that Albert probably spent many happy hours up here and that is why this spot was chosen for his memorial bench.
