Three Russian spies are being held at Oldhill Monastery. The agents were originally sent to murder Steed and his two colleagues. Suddenly two of the agents escape and murder the colleagues of Steed. Steed goes to investigate at the prison and talks to the remaining agent, Ezdorf. Steed and Ezdorf share a glass of Lizard vodka in Ezdorf’s cell. Next to the vodka Steed notices a magazine. Steed suspects that an article in the magazine might contain a clue, and despatches Tara to investigate the magazine.

Whilst Tara investigates the magazine, Steed investigates the vodka. He eventually discovers that the vodka bottle is in two halves. In the top half is vodka, in the bottom is a solution that makes the wearer invisible using similar techniques to a chameleon. Ezdorf escapes and comes after Steed. Steed, however uses the same disappearing chemical to take on Ezdorf, and wins.

Most of the action in this episode takes place inside Ashridge House, however, the escape by the agents was filmed outside. In the clips an army lorry exits the gatehouse, turns out onto the road, and an agent is seen to jump from the army lorry. Today the view is still there, however, the stile and fence into the Ashridge estate has gone, the parkland now being unfenced.
