The ghost sign is on a brick wall in Berkeley Street at the junction with Westgate Street. It reads:
"Letterpress and Copperplate / Printers".
The absence of a telephone number indicates it comes from a time long gone - probably a 100 years or more.
Reference to The Gloucestershire Directory of 1820 lists a Tomas Birt as a Letterpress and Copperplate Printer. These may well have been his premises.
